Haven & Hanger isn’t pretending to be above trends. I like good taste, and I pay attention to what people are doing. Of course some of the things here will reflect what’s popular — we’re all part of culture, and I want this blog to succeed. so here is the vibe I’m building.
But the vibe isn’t about chasing every new thing. It’s about slowing down, being selective, and choosing what fits — even if it’s in style right now. Especially if it still will be later.
It’s not about resisting the moment. It’s about responding to it in your own way.
This blog is a space for that — for making choices that reflect how you actually live, not just what you’re told to buy. For finding beauty in stillness, warmth in minimalism, and expression in things that don’t need to be explained.
The vibe
What I’m building — and the vibe I’m drawn to — is about feeling.
It’s brutalist concrete warmed by soft light. It’s neutral tones that aren’t lifeless. It’s worn-in cotton. Soft shadows. A window that reflects back who you actually are — not just what you bought. Sometimes it’s sharp and stripped-back, sometimes there’s room for a splash of colour that doesn’t match anything but still makes sense.
It’s not about getting it right. It’s about getting it true.
I’m trying to create space in my own life that reflects who I am — and maybe who we are, too. To translate those feelings you get from a piece of music, from an unexpected interaction, or from a quiet morning, into your space. Something tangible that helps you feel more like yourself. Something that brings your interior life into your actual interior.
Who it’s for
This is for people who want their home — and their clothes — to feel like they were chosen with care. Not because of a trend. Not because they needed to post about it. Just because it felt right.
It’s for anyone trying to manifest a bit more of who they really are in the space they exist in. For people who notice light hitting a wall and don’t rush to take a photo. For anyone who knows what it’s like to sit in silence and feel a little more human for it.
Maybe that means a quiet room. Maybe that means a weird vase. Maybe it means nothing at all. But the vibe is this: live in a space that reflects how you feel — or how you want to feel. Even if it doesn’t make sense to anyone else.
Why now
We live in a weird time. A self-reflective time. Everything’s online. Everyone’s aware. And a lot of things — jobs, homes, cities, connections — feel fleeting. It’s hard to hold onto what’s real.
This project, this blog, whatever you want to call it — is my way of making something stay. The vibe I’m building is about taking something quiet and steady in a loud, uncertain moment. A place to pay attention. A place to feel something solid.
It’s for anyone trying to build something personal in a world that often feels temporary. For anyone who needs reminders of who they are, tucked into the corner of a room.
We spend a lot of time in our spaces — online, at home, in our heads. This blog is about making those spaces softer, stronger, more honest. Somewhere you can actually hear yourself think.
That’s the vibe I’m building.
